We had a cracking Moto Gymkhana event at the Trago Newton Abbot site last Saturday. Hosted by Trago2Wheels, the sun was out and the riders were in fine fettle!
It all kicked off at 10am, with some early registrations and it was great to see some newbies to the sport. Confidence was gained throughout the day and some pretty good times were clocked up by midday. With ages ranging from 18 to late 60s, it's easy to see why this sport is becoming so popular. It gets the adrenaline up but in a safe and controlled environment with safety first and foremost!
The Moto Gymkhana team were as professional as ever and provided good briefings plus demonstrations. The course was a bit harder than at the last 'try out' day, with some tight corners and good stretches to get up a bit of speed. There were a few old hands around too, who were able to lead the newbies round the course and give them some tips and advice. Thanks to all who helped the day go so well. There's a selection of photos on our Facebook page and you can see them HERE.
Our new Sinnis Vista and Apache models, which were on display at the event, got plenty of interest too, and a couple of the crew from the T2W showroom were on hand to chat to interested customers.
Thanks must also go to the Devon & Cornwall Fire & Rescue Service, who took the time to bring along some information about safe riding and explain about the importance of good kit. They do a grand job and provide an invaluable service.
We'll keep you posted on the next date and hope to see you there!
